Apex Legends New Update Brings More Rewards, Increases Level Cap

Apex Legends Level Cap

Respawn Entertainment is set to release a new update for Apex Legends that will bring in more rewards and will increase the player level cap. Currently, the level cap is set at 100, which honestly isn’t that much of a grind to reach and a majority of players achieved level cap before the first season even ended.

Respawn will now increase the level cap from 100 to 500, which is a significant increase and will require a lot of grinding to reach 500. In addition, the XP gained is decreased by 5% to reach level 100. Apparently, this is to smooth out per level XP increases.

Increasing your player level will also give you more rewards as Respawn has confirmed. Players will now be able to earn 199 Apex Packs by level 500. Here is what Respawn said on how the new rewarding system will work:

Players can now earn 199 Apex Packs by level 500 (previously 45)

  • Level 2 – 20: One pack every level (Total: 19 Packs)
  • Level 22 – 300: One pack every two levels (Total: 140 Packs)
  • Level 305 – 500: One pack every five levels (Total: 40 Packs)
  • You will continue to earn 600 Legend Tokens per level
  • Apex Packs rewards will be retroactive
  • Players will also earn a Player Level Gun Charm every 100 Player Levels

While it is not the biggest feature that will be coming in the game, it was requested by many fans over the months who would have liked to see an increase. The request for the level cap increase died down when the new Ranking mode was added into the game. The Ranking mode gave out badges that set out players among others and was much better than the level 100 badge that is too common now.

What do you think of the new changes that are coming to Apex Legends and the level cap increase? Are you happy with the new reward system? Post your comments below.
