Pictures of PCB of upcoming AMD Radeon RX 6000 “Big Navi” graphics card have surfaced online and they provide some new details about the upcoming graphic card series. The image was leaked online by EB-18 on Twitter and it shows an engineering board featuring the RDNA 2 powered Big Navi GPU.
The latest leaked image gives us a good look at the PCB. The RX 6000 series’ PCB shows that it will be powered by Dual 8-Pin Connectors and has 16 Power Phases. VirtualLink USB Type-C Port and 256-bit Bus Interface can also be seen in the images.

The engineering PCB board features a 16-phase delivery and two 8-pin power connectors that can be seen in the image. The VRMs are featured beneath two large aluminum fin-based heatsinks which most probably are not going to be included in the final design. The GPU in the center has been blacked for unknown reasons. The card comes with at least four display outputs which include two DisplayPort, a single HDMI port. A USB Type-C VirtualLink connector has also been spotted which was rumored before as well.
A Bios switch is also present at the top of the PCB which could either be a reference engineering board or a custom AIB developed engineering board. The GPU looks to be surrounded by 8 spots for GDDR6 memory and it represents a 256-bit bus interface. He previously leaked PCB showed us the backside of the card and we didn’t spot any GDDR6 chips on the back which should indicate that the card is using denser DRAM modules rather than going for dual-sided memory.
AMD will officially be unveiling its RX 6000 series graphics card family on October 28th. We will have to wait and see how the RX 6000 series cards stack against NVIDIA’s 3000 series.
