Onix Games Announces Retro Action Platformer Janosik 2

Janosik 2

Onix Games and Retrovibe have just announced the fiercely challenging, retro action-platformer Janosik 2. Janosik, the legendary Slovakian Robin Hood is back and returns with a new werewolf and vampire companions alongside him.

The game will feature three new chapters, where each one will be bigger than the last. Platformer fans will be pushed to their limits as they traverse the castle filled with traps, enemies, and various threats.

Janosik 2 is a continuation of the story put in motion by the first game. The famed Slovakian highlander and robber Janosik just finished a quest to rescue his comrades and is now on the path to defeat even more enemies – both mythical and historical. This time around, it’s not the band of brothers that’s missing, but rather Janosik himself. Caught with an ingenious ruse, our hero must rescue himself, his beloved and make new friends on the way.

Janosik 2 will test your quick reflexes, muscle memory, and ability to anticipate and think two steps ahead. These traits will be highly required in the challenges that the game will throw at you. You also have shopkeepers that are scattered throughout the castle where you can purchase and unlock new abilities, open new paths, and unlock secrets.

Accompany Highlander Janosik, with Bogdan the Werewolf, and the cloak-wrapped Vampire as they explore the dark and trap-filled castle von Zur, house of the nefarious kidnapper Baron. You will find yourself trekking through dense mountain forests home to feral dogs, skeletons, and other threats all teamed up to make your life a living hell. If you think this is the only challenge you have to worry about, think again as there is something even more sinister waiting for you in the end of the journey.

If you can’t wait for the new game in the series, the original Janosik game is currently available on Steam and GOG for free.
