Code Vein 2 Haze Farming Guide – Best Locations to Farm Haze, Level Up Quickly

Code Vein 2 Haze Farming Guide

Early progress in Code Vein 2 can feel slow, especially when Haze and XP don’t come as quickly as you expect. Leveling up takes time, and relying only on normal exploration can make things feel uneven. Thankfully, there are early farming spots that unlock quickly and provide steady Haze with very little risk. This Code Vein 2 Haze Farming Guide shows all the best locations to farm Haze and ways to boost your Haze gains.

Haze Farming Guide – Code Vein 2

Haze acts as both experience points and currency in Code Vein 2. You use it to level up your character, buy items from merchants, and upgrade equipment like Weapons, Jails, Bequeathed Formae, Defensive Formae, and more.

Be careful when carrying large amounts of Haze. If you die, all your Haze drops at the spot where you fell. You can recover it by returning to that location, but dying again before picking it up will cause you to lose it permanently. If you fall off an edge, your dropped Haze will appear near the place where you fell.

How Leveling Up Works in the Game

You earn Haze mainly by defeating enemies during exploration. Enemies can also drop items, and selling these items to merchants provides extra Haze. The more enemies you defeat and loot you collect, the faster you can grow your Haze supply.

Once you have enough Haze, go to any Mistle and interact with it. From there, select the Level Up option. You can choose how many levels you want to gain and preview how each level improves your stats. This makes it easy to plan how you want your character to grow.

You can also check the required Haze for your next level at any time. Open the field menu and look at the top-right corner of the screen, or check the “Needed to Level Up” row inside the Level Up menu at a Mistle.

Why Leveling Up Matters

Increasing your level boosts several important stats, including HP, stamina, weapon damage, Bequeathed Forma damage, and drain power. Your main attributes, such as Strength and Dexterity, depend on the Blood Code you are using rather than your level alone.

Your level also affects your partner by increasing their LP, which helps them survive longer in battles. However, their attack strength depends on the upgrade level of your highest Jail, not your character level.

Reliable Spots to Farm Haze Quickly

In this section of the guide, you will find some good spots where you can easily farm haze quickly and level up quickly.

  1. Seized Substation – Sunken City

One of the fastest ways to farm Haze early on is near the Seized Substation in the Sunken City. Start by fast traveling to the nearest Mistle in this area. Once you arrive, you will notice five enemies standing along the road.

Focus on the enemy carrying the gun and attack using the Battle Axe: Idris’s Conceit Bequeathed Formae. Using it twice creates a large shockwave that deals heavy damage and can wipe out all five enemies at once if timed properly.

Each run gives you around 1,400 Haze and usually takes no more than 15 to 20 seconds. Repeating this route continuously makes it possible to reach around 126,000 Haze within half an hour.

  1. Hero Holly’s Timeline: Gorge Cave

Reaching Hero Holly’s timeline is when many players notice that Haze gains begin to slow down. Around this point, however, an efficient early-game farming spot becomes available that provides a large amount of Haze in very little time. It is easy to repeat, low risk, and allows you to boost your character quickly, though overusing it can reduce the game’s challenge.

This farm unlocks shortly after leaving the Sanatorium, during Hero Holly’s storyline. The game naturally leads you to the Gorge Cave mistle, and just beyond it is a ritual chamber filled with 11 cultist enemies gathered around a shrine. This single room is the entire farming area. Every enemy fully respawns each time you touch the Mistle, and their strength and Haze rewards stay the same, making the farm endlessly repeatable.

The room is effective because of enemy placement and behavior. Weaker cultists rush toward you immediately from the back of the shrine, while the slower armored enemies in the front move in afterward, causing all enemies to group. This makes it easy to clear the room using area attacks instead of fighting enemies one at a time.

For a smooth run, the Idris Battle Axe (+2 or higher) helps ensure enemies are defeated quickly, and the Bequeathed Axe Formae with a time-slow effect is the core of the strategy and is best if you use Adrenaline Shots.

After leaving the mistle, head into the room, use the Bequeathed Axe attack to clear the enemies in a few casts, collect the loot, then return to the mistle to reset. Once practiced, the full loop takes less than a minute and provides a strong amount of Haze for this stage of the game.

Each full clear of the ritual room rewards roughly 3,500 to 4,000 Haze, depending on timing and damage. Since the entire loop takes less than a minute to complete, the Haze adds up extremely fast compared to other early-game options. At this point in the story, it is one of the most efficient ways to build Haze without taking on harder areas.

  1. West Side in MagMell Island

The farming location is on the west side of the island, close to a shrine that works as a rest point. From there, the path leads toward the Magmell Island Pier area. A quick look at the map is enough to find it, and you don’t need to take any long or complicated routes to get there.

One important thing to remember is that this spot should be visited in the past timeline. That version of the area is what makes this farming method safe and effective. In the present timeline, the same location contains a different enemy: a floating, bell-like creature that is far stronger. Fighting it too early can be overwhelming and may force you to retreat. To avoid that problem, always make sure you return to the past timeline and farm the hammer-wielding enemy instead.

Near the shoreline, you will find a large enemy walking back and forth along the beach. He uses a heavy hammer and moves slowly, which makes the fight manageable even when your character is still low level. Defeating him gives you around 500 Haze each time, making him a solid target for early grinding.

Each fight usually takes about a minute, depending on your damage and timing. Since the enemy is alone and predictable, you can repeat the fight multiple times without much pressure or preparation.

By repeating this fight over and over, you can build Haze at a steady pace. In just a few minutes, it is possible to gather around 1,500 Haze, especially if you reset efficiently. Using fast travel back to the shrine instead of running saves time and keeps the loop short.

Ways to Boost Haze Earnings

You can increase the amount of Haze you receive by using certain items. One of the most useful options is the Revenant’s Hunger booster. This booster increases the amount of Haze gained from enemies as long as your character is not overburdened. You can get this item from Jadwiga by trading Spectral materials, which drop from specter enemies found in the Undead Forest.

Another option is Military Rations, which also increases Haze gained from enemies. However, these are not ideal for farming runs because the effect ends if you die or rest at a Mistle. Military Rations can be bought for 150 Haze from Jadwiga’s minion at Forward Two Base, located in the Corroded Scar area.
