Code Vein 2 Endings Guide – All Endings, How to Unlock

Code Vein 2 Endings Guide

Code Vein 2 revolves around stopping the Resurgence by traveling through time and defeating the heroes tied to its fate. While the main goal stays the same, your actions determine how the story ends, with multiple conclusions waiting to be uncovered. This Code Vein 2 Endings Guide shows all those endings and how you can unlock them.

Endings Guide – Code Vein 2

Code Vein 2 offers three different endings. The first one is the default, while the other two build on top of it. Think of the second and third endings as extensions of the story rather than completely separate finales. The endings are:

  • A Hero’s End
  • Luna Fraterna
  • Miraculous Bonds

Luckily, you don’t need to replay the entire game from scratch to see every ending. The game is actually designed so that you can unlock all three endings on a single save file.

After finishing the first ending, you are allowed to continue directly into the second one. The third ending does require extra effort, but you can still unlock it on the same playthrough as long as you don’t rush into New Game Plus too early. The game may try to push you forward, but patience pays off here.

Ending One – A Hero’s End

A Hero’s End is the standard ending that everyone gets first, no matter how they play. Right after you defeat Hero Valentin at the end of the game, which takes place in Luna Rapacis, you will get this ending.

Once the battle is over and the final scenes play, the credits roll. Even though it feels like the story is finished, your save file is not locked. You will still be able to return later to do side content, missions, or prepare for the remaining endings, so nothing is permanently missed at this stage.

Ending Two – Luna Fraterna

After defeating Hero Valentin and finishing the first ending, something strange happens on the main menu. Zenon appears and tells you that the story isn’t over yet, even going so far as to replace Lou on the menu screen and point you toward the Continue option.

To move forward, you must select Continue from this screen. Avoid loading other saves, as doing so can remove this option. If that happens, simply defeat Hero Valentin again to bring it back.

Once you continue, the game sends you further into the past, to the early days of the Upheaval. You will climb the Sealing Spire and face a new boss at the top. Defeating this enemy leads to the second ending, Luna Fraterna.

Just like before, your save remains active afterward, allowing you to backtrack and finish anything you have left undone.

Ending Three – Miraculous Bonds

The final ending, Miraculous Bonds, is the only one you won’t get automatically. After finishing Luna Fraterna, the main menu returns to normal with Lou back in place. If you have met the right requirements, a new option called “Rescue Lou” will appear.

This option begins a short, standalone campaign that lasts about an hour. Your level and gear carry over from your completed save, but anything you earn here won’t transfer back.

To be able to do this ending, you must complete all Timeline Shift Decision quests across the entire game. These quests never expire, so you can finish them at any point, even near the very end. The required quests are:

  • Timeline Shift Decision – Noah
  • Timeline Shift Decision – Josée
  • Timeline Shift Decision – Holly
  • Timeline Shift Decision – Lyle

On completing these quests, you are awarded with the following trophies for completing a specific quest. These are:

  • A Bridge to the Future – Saving Noah on MagMell.
  • A Place of Memories – Saving Josée in the Sunken City.
  • Life in Full Bloom – Saving Holly in the Undead Forest.
  • An Undying Vow – Saving Lyle in the Corroded Scar.

By completing all of these, you unlock the Rescue Lou storyline. If you missed any of them the first time, you can simply defeat the Luna Fraterna boss again after finishing the quests to make the option appear.

After completing Miraculous Bonds, you are free to return to your main save and begin New Game Plus whenever you are ready.
