SnowRunner has kicked off its new year of content with the release of Season 17: Repair & Rescue, introducing a fresh region, new vehicles, and a different thematic focus for the long-running off-road simulation game.
The update is now available on PC, PlayStation, and Xbox platforms for players who own the game’s Year 5 Pass or 5th Anniversary Edition, marking the first major installment in SnowRunner’s fifth year of post-launch support.
SnowRunner Season 17 Brings a Brand-New Region with Repair, Rescue, and Trucks
Season 17 takes players to Zurdania, a new mountainous region set in Western Asia that spans two large maps. Unlike previous updates that leaned heavily on industrial hauling or extreme terrain challenges, Repair & Rescue centers on recovery-focused objectives.
Players are tasked with restoring farmland after severe weather and crop failures, rehabilitating damaged infrastructure, and helping revive local tourism. Missions include improving soil fertility, introducing new agricultural techniques, and constructing a solar farm designed to support sustainable development across the region.
Beyond farming, the update also leans into environmental storytelling, with objectives that involve renovating historical monasteries and building a large hotel complex intended to attract visitors back to the area.
As with previous SnowRunner seasons, the update expands the vehicle lineup with two new trucks.
The Voron G-5352 joins the game as a heavy-duty, multi-purpose truck designed to handle demanding terrain and large workloads, while the Jangsu RX600 offers a more agile and fuel-efficient option, positioned as a support vehicle or a hauler for lighter cargo.
Both vehicles are included as part of the Season 17 content and are immediately available to Season Pass holders.
Now several years into its lifecycle, SnowRunner continues to receive structured seasonal updates rather than one-off content drops. Season 17 reinforces Saber Interactive’s approach of pairing mechanical additions, such as new vehicles and maps, with a specific theme that gives each update a distinct identity.
With Repair & Rescue focusing on restoration, sustainability, and tourism, the new season represents a shift away from pure industrial expansion toward more varied mission design, while still retaining the core off-road challenges the series is known for.
Season 17: Repair & Rescue is available now on PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, and PC.
