MIO: Memories in Orbit Atmos Boss Guide – How to Defeat

MIO: Memories in Orbit Atmos Boss Guide

In MIO: Memories in Orbit, Atmos is one of those bosses that tricks you into lowering your guard. At first, it doesn’t feel like a threat, but once the fight starts properly, the arena turns chaotic rapidly. There’s constant movement, projectiles firing, and very little time to relax. This fight is less about attacking and more about staying calm, good movement, and knowing when to back off. This MIO: Memories in Orbit Atmos Boss Guide has all the tips and tricks you need to defeat the Atmos.

Atmos Boss Battle Guide – MIO: Memories in Orbit

To start the battle with Atmos, first, we need to find it. You can find the boss by starting your journey at the Metropolis City Gates Overseer spawn point and then taking left from there. Use the Hairpin tool to climb upward through the platforms and keep heading left until you enter a room with a broken floor. You then need to jump down through the opening, then move right until you find an elevator. Take this elevator to reach the Foundation Shafts area.

Once there, continue right again and fall into the air shafts below. These shafts will lead you straight into the boss’s room. When you enter, you will see a harmless-looking snowman. Keep attacking it to trigger the actual boss fight.

How to Defeat Atmos

Atmos moves almost constantly and mixes fast movement with projectiles that target your position. The most dangerous part of this fight is how many things happen at the same time. While focusing on the boss itself, it is easy to miss falling icicles or sudden dashes across the arena.

At several points in the fight, Atmos will start floating and rush toward your current location while spinning. To protect yourself, dodge the moment it comes close, then step aside so it passes through without clipping you. The boss also fires sharp icicles directly at you. These shots come fast. Dodge the first one, then immediately shift your position instead of staying where you landed.

Another attack involves Atmos dropping straight down from the air. When it slams into the ground, icicles begin falling around the arena. Avoid standing directly under the attack site. Once the boss finishes the drop, there is a short pause, which gives you an opening to land a few attacks. When Atmos stays on the ground, it may fire icicles straight toward your position. Jumping over these attacks works well, especially if you aim to strike from above. Attacking its head during this phase damages the boss more.

The boss also performs fast ground-level rushes straight toward you. To avoid it, jump over the dash and attack during this opportunity when Atmos takes a small pause. Later in the fight, Atmos may begin circling the entire arena at high speed. Icicles will fall as it moves, making the screen feel crowded. During this, avoid the movement line, and focus on staying clear of the falling ice.

In another situation, Atmos positions itself near the center and slowly spins while sending projectiles outward. Staying close beneath it is safer than running away. By attacking from below, you can reset your jumps and avoid most of the outgoing projectiles while still dealing damage.

The biggest mistake players make against Atmos is trying to attack too aggressively. The fight becomes much easier once you acknowledge the fact that movement and positioning matter more than constant damage. Pull back when you are overwhelmed, wait for the right moments, and only attack when you know it’s safe.
