StarRupture Gun Guide – How to Get One Quickly

If you are a newcomer to StarRupture and wondering how players are already carrying guns, this guide will help you. Weapons are not available right from the start, and the game does not explain this system clearly. In this StarRupture Gun Guide, we will show you how you can get your first gun quickly and how you can craft ammo for it as well.

Gun Guide – StarRupture

To get your very first weapon in StarRupture, you must progress the Griffits Blue Corporation until it reaches Level 2. Once you reach this level, the UPP-7 pistol becomes available to you. At the same time, the game unlocks the pistol ammunition recipe, which you can create/craft using the Basic Item Printer.

Making Ammo

Ammo crafting is fairly simple at the beginning. You can produce basic ammunition at the Basic Item Printer, which will satisfy your early needs. As you progress further and unlock factory machines, you will be able to make ammo in much larger amounts.

You do not need to manually unlock ammo types. Whenever you unlock a new gun, the correct ammo for that weapon is unlocked automatically.

Equipment Grade Station

If you want better weapons in the game rather than just pistols and small weapons, you can unlock them through the Equipment Upgrade Station, which becomes available after leveling the Griffits Blue Corporation to Level 4. This station is an indoor crafting structure and is required for both unlocking and improving advanced guns.

In the current Early Access version, there are only three main weapons you can unlock besides the pistol: an assault rifle, a shotgun, and a machine gun. You can only carry two guns at the same time, so choosing which ones to bring matters.

Unlocking these weapons requires War Bonds, and once unlocked, each gun is crafted using Basic Building Material. Every weapon has its own specific ammo type, so make sure you are crafting the correct ammunition.

Death is a serious issue when it comes to weapons. If you die, any guns you are equipping will be lost permanently. The only exception is the pistol, which is never permanently lost.

If you were carrying two non-pistol weapons and die, the game automatically gives you a pistol when you respawn. Any guns you lost cannot be recovered from your death location and must be crafted again from a station.

Equipment Upgrade Station for Upgrading Guns

The Equipment Upgrade Station is not just for unlocking guns; it is also where weapon upgrades happen. Each gun has multiple attachments, and each slot offers several different options. These attachment variants must be unlocked individually using War Bonds.

Once you unlock an attachment for your gun, crafting it is simple and only requires a small amount of Basic Building Material. You can freely swap between unlocked attachments at the station, allowing you to test different setups and use whatever you feel suits your game style.
