How to Unlock All Endings in Papers Please
In total, there are 20 endings that you can unlock in Papers, Please. Each ending requires a different setting and requirements that must be fulfilled in order to reach that ending. Also, some of the endings in the game are random and might trigger themselves or not depending on the game itself so your best bet is to keep playing in order to unlock all of the endings. To see how many endings, you have unlocked in the game, check the white dots that appear in the day selection screen.
Ending #1
To unlock this ending, the inspector has to run into debt by having a negative balance at the end of the day. This can happen on all days from 1 to 31.
Ending #2
This ending is unlocked when everyone in the inspector’s family is dead as he was unable to provide food, heat, or medicine to them. This can happen between days 4 to 31.
Ending #3
To unlock this ending, when M. Vonel, the M.O.I. investigator visits the booth on day 12 and asks about The Order of the EZIC Star, the inspector must give him the EZIC documents given to him earlier by Corman Drex and an EZIC messenger. The ending can be unlocked on Day 12 however the documents are given to the inspector on days 8, 9, and 10.
Ending #4
This ending spans over 4 days. Starting from day 11, a strange man will bring 1000 credits at the end of the day to the inspector. You are given two choices, to take the money or burn the money. If the money is burned, the man returns again on day 12 with 2000 credits. If the inspector decides to keep money from any of these two days, the bribery will be reported, and all your savings will be confiscated on day 13 following an investigation.
On day 14, EZIC will try to interfere with the investigation in order to help you out but if you do not let the agent inside the state, the inspector is arrested at the start of day 15 unlocking this ending. The ending is unlocked on day 15 however the events leading to this ending trigger on day 11.
Ending #5
This ending is unlocked if the inspector shoots a bystander with a sniper rifle. The sniper rifle is unlocked on day 23 so this ending can be unlocked from day 23 onwards.
Ending #6
This ending is unlocked if the inspector shoots a bystander with a tranquilizer gun. The tranquilizer gun is unlocked on day 16 so this ending can be unlocked from day 16 onwards.
Ending #7
This ending is unlocked if the inspector shoots a guard with a sniper rifle. The sniper rifle is unlocked on day 23 so this ending can be unlocked from day 23 onwards.
Ending #8
This ending is unlocked if the inspector shoots a guard with a tranquilizer gun. The tranquilizer gun is unlocked on day 16 so this ending can be unlocked from day 16 onwards.
Ending #9
This ending is unlocked if the inspector shoots the man in red with a sniper rifle when EZIC tries to create a diversion on day 23.

This ending is unlocked if the inspector shoots the man in red with the tranquilizer gun when EZIC tries to create a diversion on day 23.
Ending #11
The M.O.A. supervisor regularly visits to inspect the booth on days 10, 20, and 30. During his visits, if there are any unofficial hangings on the wall, he will issue the inspector a fine and leave for the day. For his next return, if he finds another unofficial hanging on the wall, he will trigger this ending.
Ending #12
This ending is unlocked when the inspector detains Shae Piersovska on day 25. The ending is not triggered until day 26 when at the start of the day, the M.O.A supervisor will visit and arrest the inspector. The first time you hear about the request is on day 20 when you are given the name of Shae Piersovska and told to let her enter.
Ending #13
To trigger this ending, the inspector must have completed less than four EZIC tasks. On day 31, an attack will happen and during this attack, the inspector must shoot the lower attacker and let the other attacker blow up the wall. Wait until the next day and the inspector will be arrested for failing to defend the border. Make sure that you shoot the lower attacker because letting him live will result in instant death as he will throw a grenade inside the booth. This ending is unlocked on day 31.
Ending #14
To trigger this ending, the inspector must have completed at least four EZIC tasks. On day 31, an EZIC messenger will arrive and tell the inspector to hold his fire during the attack. However, if the inspector still shoots the attackers and the wall remains intact, the ending is triggered on the next day.
Ending #15
To trigger this ending, the inspector must have completed at least four EZIC tasks. On day 31, an EZIC messenger will arrive and tell the inspector to hold his fire during the attack. However, if the inspector shoots one of the attackers and the wall is blown up, the ending will trigger.
Ending #16
This ending is triggered if the inspector manages to escape solo or with some of his family members to Obristan.
Ending #17
To trigger this ending, wait until the day 31 attack and shoot both the attackers. After that, the inspector must not escape to Obristan. The inspector must have completed at least one to three EZIC tasks as well. After the attack, the inspector is linked to EZIC in an investigation and the ending is triggered.
Ending #18
This ending is triggered if the inspector manages to escape to Obristan with his living family members. The inspector must have illegally confiscated enough Obristan passports from visiting people. If everyone is alive and the niece was adopted, the inspector will need six passports and 15 credits to trigger this ending.
Ending #19
To trigger this ending, the inspector must complete at least four EZIC tasks. During the attack on day 31, the inspector must hold his fire and allow the attackers to blow up the wall. This will trigger this ending.
Ending #20
The final ending requires the inspector to reject all EZIC tasks during the 31 days and during the attack, he must kill both of the attackers and not escape to Obristan as well. On the next day, hi is cleared during the investigation and this ending is triggered.
