Tooke Guide – Hood: Outlaws & Legends

Our Hood: Outlaws & Legends Tooke Guide details everything that you need to know about playing with Tooke in Hood: Outlaws & Legends.

Character Overview

Tooke is an advanced character and not one that you should be eager to play with if you have just started playing Hood: Outlaws & Legends. While it can be one of the strongest characters in the game after some practice, it can be a little tricky to master for new players. Tooke uses flail as his primary weapon. You have the option of both light and heavy attacks to mix and match your combos and also features a deadly gas grenade that will tire out your enemies. With his health leeching ability, you can say that Tooke is a somewhat tank of the game. Check out the detailed guide below for an in-depth analysis of Tooke’s kit.

Gear

Tooke’s Gear is the deadly Gas Grenade. Throwing the gas grenade will make it harder for your enemies to see you and also deplete their stamina the longer they stay inside the gas cloud. The gas does not damage the enemy’s health however with their stamina depleted, your enemies will not be able to block your attacks so you can make sure that each hit is landing on your enemies even if they try to block it.

Ability

Tooke comes with Instinct ability which highlights all of the enemies on the screen for you and your teammates even if they are behind cover. Teammates closer to you are also healed when you use your ability making it a vital support power for your team. It works great both in solo and team play so you must always rely on this powerful ability of yours.

Trait

Tooke comes with the Respire trait that allows him to regain stamina at an exceptional regen speed. Stamina is key for combat and with this useful trait, you will never run out of it. It allows you to use your powerful flail to your heart’s content as your stamina regenerates at an accelerated rate.

Best Perks of Tooke

Similar to all other characters in the game, Tooke also comes with three Perk slots with plenty of perks to choose from. Depending on these perks, you can fine-tune your build of Tooke to suit more your gameplay style however, we have detailed three perks that we like to use for our build and think that these are the best perks to use with Tooke.

Perk Slot Description Level Required
Pastoral Aid Slot 1 Pastoral Aid allows you to walk through your own gas and do not suffer from any of its negative effects. Apart from this, this perk also allows Tooke to winch quickly than normal players and capture the Capture Points much slowly. Level 5
Suffocating Balm Slot 2 This perk increases the effect of your gas on enemies and depletes their stamina even faster. Level 7
Vampiric Bludgeon Slot 3 This perk allows you to leech health from your enemies with every hit you land on them. Every successful hit leeches a percentage of health from your enemies and grants it to you. Level 10

Tips and Tricks for Playing with Tooke

  • Tooke’s Respire is a passive trait so you can keep swinging your flail at your enemies without any worries of running out of your own stamina.
  • Combine your flail attacks with your gas grenade and you will ensure that your enemies do not stand a chance against you as your gas grenade will deplete their stamina and your flail will ensure that they are dead within moments.
  • If your own drops zero and there are no teammates around you, you can heal yourself with your Instinct ability which also marks all enemies on your screen even if they are behind cover allowing you to heal quickly and then go on the offensive as you will now know the location of all your enemies.
  • Your heavy attacks drain your stamina too much so you should try to stick to lighter attacks for the most part of the combat and only use heavy attacks during strategic moves. These could be the finishing moves or the very first move which will topple enemies and set them up for a nice follow-up combo with your light flail attacks.
  • With the Vampiric Bludgeon active, try to swing your flail in the middle of different enemies, and every enemy that you hit will give you some of your health back so you can use this to tank enemies and gain health back at the same time while dealing damage to them.
