Character Overview
Marianne focuses on stealth and remaining in the shadows for most of the time. Her specialty exists in killing her enemies silently, taking what she needs, and getting out of the area without alerting the enemies. For this very reason, her kit revolves around stealth and medium to close-ranged combat. Her weapon of choice is a crossbow that becomes a blade when she is up close with her enemies. She is the most agile character in the game.
Gear
Coming to Gear of Marianne, she is equipped with Smoke Grenades which are excellent for evading enemies or losing them if you are in a chase. If you get surrounded by enemies, you can throw a Smoke Grenade that will block visibility and prevent yourself from being tagged by enemy teams. This works particularly well right after stealing the key and the Sheriff is onto you. It gives you a decent enough window to go back into the shadows without killing a single enemy.
Ability
Marianne has the Shroud ability which makes you invisible. With the help of this ability, you can turn invisible and use Marianne’s main weapon to silently pick off enemies from a safe distance and your enemies wondering where the attack is coming from. You can also use this ability to silently sneak around your enemies, steal the key and get back to a safe spot without alerting your enemies. Equip the Phantom Stalker perk and your enemies will never know what hit them.
Trait
Normally, you can only do assassinations by sneaking up from behind of your enemies however Marianne comes with the Shadow trait that allows her to perform assassinations from any direction she approaches her enemy from as long as she is hidden from their view. You can also perform assassinations from the front of your enemies as long as you remain hidden making this a very useful trait for a stealthy player.

Tips and Tricks for Playing with Marianne
- While playing as Marianne, if you see enemies coming from the front, you must always go for front assassinations. Quickly turn invisible and kill the enemies for an instant front assassination. This will ensure that if anyone tries to block you off, you can quickly get rid of them and continue down your escape route in peace.
- Use Marianne’s Shroud ability to give cover to your team without alerting enemies to your position. If you see your teammates walking into an enemy, signal them to stop and take over the situation by going invisible and taking out the enemy yourself. With Marianne, you are the ultimate assassin in the game, and you should let your team feel her strength as well.
- Since you are the silent one in the team and can easily scout and recon areas ahead, make sure that you are always marking useful items and ammo crates for your team so that they can get to them once the area is clear of all enemies.
- Stick to melee kills and assassinations to ensure that you always have crossbow bolts for long-range kills. If you fire a bolt and kill an enemy, go to their location and if you are lucky, you will be able to pick your bolt back from their body or from the area where it landed after hitting the enemy.
