When you first face Hyperion, he will be playing a large organ all throughout the fight. His attacks are primarily sending out waves after waves of different orbs that come in hundreds in numbers.

Below we have detailed how you can beat Hyperion in the game, what his attack types are and how you should counter-attack.
How to Beat Hyperion
If you thought fighting any of the previous bosses was tough, you might want to reconsider as you step in for the battle with Hyperion. Though Hyperion stays in one spot, playing the organ and filling the stage with haunting music, his attacks will rain down all sorts of orbs that will have you struggling to avoid them or find an opening to get away from. If that isn’t enough, he quickly follows up with more attacks, sending all sorts of homing orbs, shockwaves, and laser beam swipes forcing you to be on the move.
As with any other boss, Hyperion fights in three stages with a full health bar in each phase. The first phase is where he has his back turned against you as he plays the organ. He starts by sending several blue homing orbs that land on your location, followed by red orbs that send an expanding red shockwave. He mixes all the two attacks with yellow orbs filling the area with all sorts of projectiles. If you thought that was it, he follows up with a quick horizontal laser beam sweep that goes from left to right, easily hitting the player who thought the orbs were the only danger.
So how should you counter this mayhem? The trick here is to be at a medium-range from the boss, where you are not too far and not to close that you don’t even have time to predict its incoming attacks. Staying at a medium distance allows you to fire your own bullets to deal consistent damage, but also to be on the move to avoid the rain of orbs.
When you have dealt enough damage, the start of phase two begins when Hyperion sends a ton of blue and green orbs at you. At this point, he will not be playing the organ, but facing you while attacking without moving. The trickier part of this phase is the introduction of vines that pop out from the ground to hit you. While you are already on the move trying to avoid the orbs, the vines will occasionally catch you off guard, but it is important to keep moving as Hyperion will also send out blue orbs in the shape of an X. You can dodge through this attack, but moving around from one side of the stage to the other will be enough to avoid most of these attacks.
The third stage is where the fight remains pretty much the same, where Hyperion uses more or less the same sorts of attacks in the first two stages. On the other hand, you should keep your strategy the same, that is to keep moving, and keep firing your bullets from a medium distance.
