Firefly Studios has been extremely interactive with their community for the entire development duration of their upcoming title Stronghold: Warlords. Previously, the developer asked the fans to submit their very own shrieks and grunts to get them added to the game, and before that held a rapid-fire questions session where many of the fan-asked questions were answered by them. Now, Firefly Studios is back with yet another Stronghold: Warlords competition where the developer is asking fans to vote for the animal whose body will be used as trebuchet ammo.
Trebuchets played a vital role in sieges and attacks in the early days and normally massive stones were catapulted with them to destroy enemy barricades and castle walls. However, it seems like stones are not enough for Firefly Studios which is why the latest competition wants you to vote for the best animal which could serve as potential replacement ammo for these mighty siege weapons. There are four animals to choose from and the winner will be used as alternate ammo in the full version of Stronghold: Warlords.
Of course, these animals won’t be alive when they are put into the trebuchets and thrown at the enemies for their ultimate salvation. It turns out that animals can still be useful in Stronghold: Warlords after they are dead. The four options you have to vote from include water buffalo, a hoarse horse, former caged tigers, and the bacterial camels of Mongolia. All of these animals will ensure that there is plenty of disease inside your enemy’s castle once you’ve launched them inside them.
Remember that only the winning animal will get to serve you in the game as trebuchet ammo so head over to the official Stronghold Discord server and vote for your favorite animal. After landing, these diseased animals will create a temporary cloud of disease in the area and any soldier or peasant caught in this cloud will fall ill. The size of the disease cloud will be depending on the winning animal. The bigger animals will create a much bigger and long-lasting cloud as compared to smaller animals.
