In this WWE 2K20 Abilities Guide, we will guide you on how you can perform all standard abilities in WWE 2K20. Standard abilities are extremely important in any WWE 2K20 game because you will equip these on your Superstar. This year, you will see familiar standard abilities return to the game without many changes in them.
Similar to the previous year, WWE 2K20 comes with 10 standard abilities and since each SuperStar can be equipped with 10 standard abilities, you can equip all of these to your Superstar at the same time. Below you will find all ten standard abilities and a brief description of how you can land them on your opponents. We have also detailed their 3 levels.

| Ability | How to Land | Levels |
| Brawl (Promo Ability) | During the promo, press R2 to initiate this move which will allow you to attack your opponent and transition further into a brawl. | Level 1 will reduce the opponent’s health by 90%, Level 2 by 85% and Level 3 by 80%. |
| Dirty Pin | Press Circle when your enemy is lying parallel to the ropes to pin them there. This can only be used once during a match however the Level 3 can be used two times during the same match. | Decrease in opponent’s kick out gauge: Level 1= 20%, Level 2= 35%, Level 3= 50%.
Probability of Referee seeing the dirty pin: Level 1= 24%, Level 2= 34%, Level 3= 50% |
| Fan Favorite | Acquire the Comeback Skill and this ability comes as passive. | Level 1 will grant you 16 seconds to complete the Comeback Sequence, Level 2 20 seconds and Level 3 25 seconds to complete the Comeback Sequence. |
| Immovable Object | This ability is only available for Heavyweight and Super Heavyweight Superstars. With this ability equipped, your Superstar will be more resistance to falling to his knees when hit by strong or running strikes. | Level 1 decreases the chance by 40%, Level 2 by 55% and Level 3 by 65%. |
| Mouthpiece | Equip this ability and make sure that the manager is always with the Superstar to use it. The manager will distract the referee at your command and give you a stamina boost as well. | Level 1 grants a small stamina boost and 1 time use. Level 2 grants a 50% bonus and 2 time use. Level 3 grants a 100% bonus and 2 time use. |
| Pin Combo | Press Circle after an attack to instantly pin your opponent. | Level 1 will reduce the size of your opponent’s kick-out gauge by 10%, Level 2 by 20% and Level 3 by 30%. |
| Rope Break | Press Circle when pinned to ropes to escape using a Rope Break move. | Level 1 has a 60% chance of referee seeing along with a 15% momentum bonus. Level 2 has a 50% chance of referee seeing along with a 45% momentum bonus. Level 3 has a 40% chance of referee seeing along with a 75% momentum bonus. |
| Taunt (Promo Ability) | During a promo, press R1 to taunt your opponent. This will eliminate the lowest scoring promo answers. | Level 1 will remove 1 low scoring answer, Level 2 will remove 2 and Level 3 will remove 3 low scoring promo answers. All of them can only be used once. |
| Teamwork | In Tag Team matches, all double team moves and Tag Team Finishers deal additional damage. | Level 1: 12% additional damage
Level 2: 17% additional damage Level 3: 26% additional damage |
| Technician | Equip this ability and your reversals will cost less stamina. | Level 1: 10% less stamina
