Publisher Cronos Interactive and developer Not a Company have announced an Open Beta weekend for their online drone combat game Hoverloop. Right at the start of the Open Beta, Hoverloop is also getting a huge update which brings tons of new features and improvements so that players can experience the game in its best form during the open beta weekend.
The free weekend Open Beta is scheduled to run from August 31, 2019, 3 PM CEST to September 1, 2019, 3 PM CEST. During this time, Hoverloop will be free for all players to play the game through Steam. Players will be able to pit their remote-controlled drones against each other for clicks and glory during the entire duration of the beta without paying a single dime.
At the end of the beta, all participants of the open beta will receive a reward of exclusive items which will be used to customize their drones. Every player will also be able to share their feedback on the game or report bugs which they experienced during their gaming sessions directly to the developers via Steam or their Discord server.
The massive update accompanying the open beta will bring private online lobbies for multiplayer and brand new announcers that shoutcast the matches. Players can now select a custom dogtag in the garage which will be displayed on the billboards every time they become the best player in the game. The Mine map also comes with new environmental effects, hazards, and visuals.
The new update also fine-tunes the weaponry and movement controls of the game making it much more fluid. All guns in the game are now hitscan instead of projectile-based and the movement has been tightened up both for the ground and the air. Other improvements include AI fixes for bots, a much more detailed tutorial, and many new visual effects. You can check out the official patch notes for additional details.
