Soedesco has released the Beta 10 for its dwarf city builder HammerHelm which is the first massive update for the game since its release in Early Access last year. Despite the game getting many smaller updates since its release, Beta 10 is the biggest update to date and it brings with it tons of new content for players to explore and build in their city. Players now have access to a new collectible resource feature along with new Décor items.
With the new collectible resource feature, you will now be able to gather plenty of wilderness resources as you travel out of your town and complete different quests. These new resources will not only keep your villagers happy but will also give you access to new items that could be crafted in the game. Some of the new resources added to the game include:
- Beehives – Used to make Apiaries
- Rose Bushes and Fireflies – Allows you to place Rose Bushes, Rose Trellises and Firefly Lamps in your town and home
- Cherry Blossom and Birch Tree Seeds – Allows you to place Birch Trees and Cherry Blossoms
- Medium Ore Deposits and Small Ore Deposits
- Supply Crates – Give you leather, raw meat, raw veggies, wheat, cotton, handles or coal
- Alchemy Logs – Give you alchemy logs
During your early stages, you will find only a small amount of these resources in the game but as you progress in the game, you will continue to find a lot more of these resources in the game. Some of the resources are found in specific locations only so you will need to explore and find out what is found where.
Another major addition to the game is the new town and home décor. You have the following items in this category:
Town Items
- Apiaries – Placing an Apiary near your Breweries will improve the mood buff bonus from having Beer
- Rose Bushes and Rose Trellis
- Birch Trees and Cherry Blossoms
- Firefly Lamppost
Player House Items
- Firefly Wall Lamp and Firefly Standing Lamp
Apart from this, there’s a brand new animation for when you level up in the game with spinning hammers. You also play a brand new quest to find a lantern. The grass and flower textures have also been updated. Smashing crates in dungeons have better animation and the UI has been updated as well for better inventory management.
